Cicada Innovations is expanding with the opening of a health-focused incubator at one of Australia’s largest health and biomedical research precincts, the Westmead Health and Innovation District, supported by a grant from Investment NSW.
Since 2009, the annual Tech23 festival has called together the deep tech ecosystem to celebrate pioneering Australia science.
This year, Tech23 joins the Cicada family, united by our shared mission to celebrate and amplify radical innovators.
Introducing the 23 extraordinary ventures taking the stage at Cicada x Tech23 2023, Australia's biggest deep tech festival. From infinite recycling to bat-like vision for the visually impaired, these startups are transforming industries and working on the most radical innovations to tackle some of the world's wicked problems.
Deep tech leaders including Sally-Ann Williams share their thoughts on the budget, specifically the new Industry Growth Program. The program is an evolution of the Entrepreneurs Program, and aims to support early stage startups & SMEs with advice and grants to help them commercialise their ideas and grow.
